Dearborn 2020 WR Tommy Guajardo will be visiting ACC program, Pittsburgh, for their opening season home game this upcoming Saturday.

The 6’4” 230 lbs. Guajardo entered his Junior year holding 2 Division 1 FBS offers from Northern Illinois and Eastern Michigan.

It is not uncommon to see great two-way players at the high school level, but rarely (if ever) do you see an athlete excel at wide out, tight end and linebacker. If you’re an elite wide out, you usually play in the secondary on defense. If you’re an elite linebacker, you typically play at tight end on offense. Guajardo plays all 3 at a very high level.

The two-way standout has big play ability on either side of the ball. Guajardo’s size, athleticism, speed and explosiveness have made him a very attractive prospect on both sides of the ball for several Power 5 programs that include Michigan State, Boston College, Notre Dame and Penn State, just to name a few.

We can only imagine the jump in his game if he could focus on just one side of the ball but when you’re as talented as Guajardo is, it would almost be a waste to restrict him to just offense or defense for now.

Guajardo commented on his visit: “I’m really happy to be visiting Pitt this weekend. I started having conversations with their coaches back in the Spring and talks have been picking up with them so I’m really looking forward to seeing the game day culture and experiencing the energy they have there.”

Guajardo is ranked by The D Zone as the #26 prospect in Michigan's Class of 2020.
