2016 Plymouth offensive tackle Michael Jordan bundled as much into one weekend as possible. On Friday, he attended Ohio State’s Friday Night Lights camp. On Saturday, he drove south to Louisville, KY for a family reunion. On Sunday morning, Jordan drove back to Michigan to attend the University of Michigan’s annual ‘Barbecue at the Big House’ event.

“The weekend was pretty fun, exciting, but very long and tiring,” Jordan, 6-foot-6, 280-pounds, said.

The big weekend got off to a sizzling start with Jordan’s top-end performance at Ohio State’s one-day camp. Following the camp, Buckeye offensive line coach, Ed Warinner, extended a scholarship offer to Jordan.

“Coach Warinner told me he liked what he saw out of me and was offering me,” Jordan said. “I said thank you. I am starting to see that colleges are seeing my potential now that I have two offers.”

The camp itself was a good measuring stick for Jordan to see himself paired up against Ohio State’s top prospects.

“It was really good guys competing in one-on-ones.”

Even though ‘Friday Night Lights’ had bunches of participants, the Ohio State coaching staff spent a significant amount of time with Jordan.

“I talked a lot with Coach Warinner, Coach Meyer, and Coach Coombs a lot.”

Following Jordan’s family reunion in Louisville on Saturday, he made it to the ‘Barbecue at the Big House’ just in time for dinner.

“I was coming back from a family reunion in Louisville, Kentucky,” Jordan said.

“The only thing I got to do at the Barbecue was eat the food and go into the game locker room. I had those two experiences.”

Brady Hoke and his staff talked to Jordan about non-football related topics.

“The coaches talked to me about how I was doing.”

At the dinner portion of the Barbecue, Jordan sat with fellow 2016 offensive lineman prospects Thiyo Luckusa (Traverse City West), Ben Bredeson (Hartland, Wi.), and Clark Yarbrough (Woodberry Forest, Va.). The four-some were relaxed and talked about several simple topics.

“We talked about offers we had, where we’re from; basic stuff,” Jordan said.

With his junior season at Plymouth just a month away, Jordan is going to focus more on his team rather than his own recruiting.

“No, I am not taking any more visits [this summer], I am ready to get ready for the season with my team,” Jordan said.
