I have a great work ethic. I do everything possible I can to make myself the best athlete I can be, including extra lifting, running, watching film, and going to camps in the off-season. I've been going to Rising Stars Camps regularly since my Sophomore year, and have competed in their 7 On 7 league each of the past two years. I am very versatile. I have the ability and willingness to play many different positions including Special Teams. Since my Freshman year I have played DE, OL, OLB, and MLB. I started every game as a Left Tackle on our JV team my Sophomore year, so I understand how to block well, and the importance of it. Although most often out-sized, our running game was the team's strength because of our O-Line. As a Junior on the Varsity team, I played DE, TE, Fullback/H-Back, both Slot and Outside Receiver, DT, and played every game on multiple Special Teams. I am very coach-able, and always am looking for ways to improve my technique. I am an honor student in school, with a GPA of 3.88 unweighted as of the beginning of my Junior year. I take a lot of time to watch film and study my opponents in order to learn their play-style and tendencies.

I believe that I am a smart football player, I absorb information quickly, know all the plays of every position, and notice my opponents' weaknesses. My strengths include anchoring my gap, using my hands and using good pursuit angles to the ball. I am also good at shedding blocks, getting to the ball, and stripping the ball. I am a strong blocker, and have good hands. In addition, I have trained in the martial arts since I was 4 years old. It has helped me develop balance, focus, leverage and persistence. It has also given me the knowledge that technique well practiced and well applied can overcome size every time. I am never the biggest player on the field, but I love hitting and will put my shoulder into anyone that comes at me, no matter how big or small.

My freshman year was my first year of playing football. Anyone will tell you that when I started that summer I had very little knowledge of the game or God-given talent. But I became determined to become the best football player I could be. I worked hard during the season, improving my tackling and starting the last two games as a Linebacker. After the season was over I did everything I could to work on my size, strength and technique so that I could be a two-way starter my Sophomore year. I ended up starting all nine games at Left Tackle, and started as a MLB on defense before converting to DE and starting there. After my Sophomore year I was determined to become even better than I was that season so that I could be a difference maker on Varsity. I began going to Rising Stars camps and playing competitive 7 on 7 as a Wide Receiver. My high school football experience as a whole has helped me develop a strong work ethic, has reinforced the importance of being goal-oriented in both athletics and life, and most importantly has taught me that nothing in life is given. If you want something, you have to want it more than anyone else, and be willing to put in more work than anyone else.

I want to play football at the next level because of how much I love the game. A coach would get a player with huge heart and desire. Football has been my life for the last three years, and I believe that I posses the ability to be successful at the next level. I want to keep pushing myself to become the best athlete and best student that I can. I love to challenge myself and am very goal-oriented, and my goal is to play football beyond high school.
