West Ottawa 2018 WR Xavier Wade commits to Ferris State for two sports (Story)
West Ottawa 2018 WR/PG Xavier Wade put an end to his recruiting process this past week by committing to Ferris State University where he will be playing both football and basketball for the Bulldogs.
As a senior the 6'3" 185 lbs receiver caught 71 balls for just under 1,200 receiving yards, and a state high 18 touchdown catches.
On the court Wade is a point guard and with his size and length allows him to dominate opponents.

- Player Analysis
Xavier is a receiver who knows the game of football inside and out. His 6'3 frame and 4.4 40 yard dash speed allows him to be effective anywhere on the field. Whether that be throwing him the deep ball, a screen pass, corner of the end zone, returning back a punt or kick, or even handing the ball off. His coach, Ryan Oshnock, described him as "a small slot trapped in a big man's body", and "the most versatile player I have ever coached." Xavier is most likely the most slept on receiver in the state of Michigan as he stands with 18 receiving TD's 2 rushing TD's and a 93 yard kickreturn helping his team win their first ever outright conference championship in the division 1 class A OK Red division. Xavier Wade is on the verge of back to back 1000 reciveveing yard seasons. The 2nd team MLive all state dream team wide reciever helped his team win a conference championship and a district title after going just 2-7 last year and predicted to be last in the conference.
