Marine City 2018 RB Dawson Haney just finished an incredible varsity career for the east Michigan powerhouse program. Dawson at 5'10" 175 lbs broke the career record for rushing yards in a career with 3,803 rushing yards.

The record is significant because very few programs in the state have the consistency that Marine City has had since the 1980's. The Mariners are always a contender in whatever playoff Division they are in and won the D4 title in 2013 as well as a runner-up appearance in 2011.

As a senior the gritty playmaker had 172 carries for 1,517 yards, and 24 rushing touchdowns. Haney was also a dangerous target out of the backfield with 17 receptions for 293 yards, and 4 touchdowns.

After missing out on the playoffs in 2016 which was their first losing season since 1982, Haney and his Mariners teammates rebounded to finish with an 8-3 record in Division 5 and MAC Gold Division title.
