Game Preview and Prospects The D Zone will be seeing at Saline and Kalamazoo Central (Story)
Saline who is #9 ranked in the state and #6 in Division 1 will welcome Kalamazoo Central who will be making their first playoff appearance since 2004. KC's biggest strength under first year head coach Carlton Brewster has been their defense which is one of their best in school history. The 135 points they've allowed are the fewest in the past 38 seasons. Saline on the other hand under Joe Palka has established a strong program that is looking to get back to Ford Field and they are the favorite on the west side of the bracket to advance to Ford Field.
Below are the prospects we're aware of entering the game. We look forward to discovering more talent.
Saline:
2019 CB/WR MJ Griffin is the #55 ranked prospect in the state as he's headed to Temple. Griffin is an excellent; physical, fast, and aggressive player who is always playing with great effort. Griffin is the type of player who can make a game-changing play in a clutch moment.
2019 WR Brendan Murphy is a solid receiver prospect at 6'2 225 lbs that is key in on short-mid passing yard situations, but Murphy is a solid route runner and must be accounted for as a big play threat for the Hornets.
2019 DE Brad Wisniewski is a high-motored 6'3 230 lbs prospect. Wisniewski being a player who doesn't take plays off and plays with a lot of energy is a threat to have some key defensive stops in this game.
2019 OLB Connor Terech is a 6'2 205 lbs LB who has good burst and can get downhill in closing gaps fast. Also drops back pretty well in coverage.
2019 DE/OLB Jonah Ashby is a 6'2 220 lbs prospect who holds a D3 roster spot from Mount Union. Ashby has spent a lot of time in the opponents backfield this year with 11 tackles-for-loss and 3 sacks.
2020 RB Alex Morrison is a nice standout junior the Hornets at 6'1 210 lbs. Morrison took several D1 visits last month.
2019 RB Brendan Munday is a 5'9 195 lbs tough as nails RB that can run well between the Tackles.
2019 K/P James Turner has been very solid this year for the Hornets with 22 touchbacks and 7 field goals kicked. Turner is 6' 193 lbs.
2019 QB Andrew Arbaugh is 5'11 160 lbs and is the straw that stirs the Saline offense as he's a nice QB who does a little bit of everything good.
2019 RB/OLB Hayden Scott is 5'10 170 lbs part of Saline's rushing attack and is an excellent blocker on film.
Kalamazoo Central:
2019 ATH Faylin Goodwin is the Maroons go to offensive threat as the 6'1 190 lbs Goodwin plays RB, WR, and QB. He holds an offer from Valparaiso.
2020 DE/TE Justin Davis is an extremely raw prospect at 6'6 200 lbs that has the potential to be developed into a very solid prospect.
2020 QB Jacob Lyle is a 6'1 190 lbs prospect with a good arm and poise. He'll be a 4-year starting QB for Kzoo Central when all is said and done.
2019 DL Devond Dobbins is a versatile 6'2 255 lbs DL prospect who can do both DE and DT. Dobbins has 9 sacks and 15 tackles-for-loss this year.

2019 LB Xavier Davis is a 5'10 205 lbs tackling-machine for the Maroons.
2019 DT Terrence Bell Jr is 6'1 300 lbs.
2019 RB Kavon Ford is a physical runningback prospect.
