Eisenhower 2018 QB Max Wittwer has accepted a preferred walk-on at Michigan (Story)
Eisenhower 2018 QB Max Wittwer took one last visit of the recruiting cycle to the University of Michigan where he received an opportunity to walk-on.
On Saturday evening, Wittwer announced he was decommitting from Air Force and on Sunday that he would be staying in-state to play at Michigan.
Wittwer is an explosive and dynamic dual-threat quarterback who helped takes the Eagles back to being one of the best teams in the state before a leg injury shortened his senior season for the Eagles who finished their 2017 season in the Regionals.
Wittwer broke onto the scene in the playoffs of his sophomore season where he scored a touchdown run in double overtime to upset the favored Chippewa Valley Big Reds on the road. As a junior Wittwer played an incredible role in the Eagles cruising through their regular season where they eventually lost to Cass Tech in the D1 Semi-finals.
Wittwer has certainly been one of the most productive players in the state the past two years.

- Player Analysis
8/23/2017: Max Wittwer returns for his 3rd season under center for the Eagles. Wittwer is a dual-threat QB who is a very accurate passer and reads the field extremely well. Wittwer is also a multi-sport athlete and tremendous leader.
College interest: Wittwer held an Eastern Michigan offer and Eastern Kentucky offer as well. The Eagles QB will certainly have the chance to open eyes with his week 1 opponent, Oak Park who has a handful of D1 defensive backs.
