Dowagiac 2018 OLB/WR "ATH" Caleb Murphy was offered by Ferris State (Read more)
Dowagiac 2018 OLB/WR "ATH" Caleb Murphy was offered by Ferris State University on Wednesday evening. FSU is the 4th school to offer Murphy who previously held offers from: Air Force, Saginaw Valley State, and Siena Heights.
The 6'4" 210 lbs athletic freak was excited to get the offer as it should begin to turn more eyes to Murphy. The do-it-all playmaker has led Dowagiac to a 2-1 start and he's currently preparing for a showdown with a top ranked team in Edwardsburg for week 4.
Murphy commented on where he stood in the recruiting process following the offer, "I'm excited to get the offer! Waiting for a couple more to fall through before any decision is made!"

8/23/2017: The Southwestern Michigan town doesn't attract many people coming into the city, but it should this Fall to see the first Division 1 recruit in the city since 2013. Murphy is a tremendous multi-sport athlete and literally has played all of the positions besides on the OL. At 6'4" 210 lbs Murphy is at a crossroads of which position to be recruited at.
College interest: With a few D1-FBS and D2 offers, Murphy is in the spot he wants to be in as sometimes in his area, someone like him could go completely unnoticed.
