West Bloomfield started the game with great energy and rode the hot hand of Donovan Moore, who had 21 points and 5 dunks in the first two quarters, as they took a 16 point lead into the half. The Lakers never let up and maintained a double digit lead throughout the game, winning 83-65. Southfield Christian struggled from the onset as they could not stop the Lakers in transition and also failed to generate offense effectively while missing shots that they would normally make. Moore led the lakers with 31 points and 8 rebounds, while Jalen Kelso added 19 points, 13 assists, 10 rebounds, and 9 steals. For Southfield Christian, Harlond Beverly scored 19 points and Bryce Washington added 17 of his own.
