Cranbrook defeated Royal Oak Shrine 63-57 in a CHSL Intersectional I matchup on Friday night.

Junior guard Cam Garner poured in 19 points, while senior forward Jordan Roebuck put in 12 points and senior forward Jack Fairman added 11 points in the Crane’s victory at home.

Junior guard Ben Plunky had 16 points for the Knights.

“This was a good win against a well-prepared team. We were able to hold together our poise as [Shrine} made a big push in the last quarter”, said Cranbrook Head Coach Shane Finney. “I’m proud of our team leadership.”

The night was electric in Keppel Gymnasium, as students from Brookside Elementary were special guests. Dillion O’Donnell, a 5th grader, was the honorary ball boy for the game.

“The Brookside students were the highlight of the evening, and we were honored to have Dillion as apart of our team tonight” said Finney.

Cranbrook moves on to face Ann Arbor Greenhills on the road next Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. in another CHSL divisional matchup.
