As West Bloomfield started to beat great teams in these playoffs their road eventually led to the peak and that team was Cass Tech.

West Bloomfield and Cass Tech squared off at Troy Athens on 11/18 with a chance to play in the Division 1 State Championship. The field was drenched in rain as it rained during the entire game.

West Bloomfield senior kicker, Nick O'Shea whose father passed away last month, received a special pair of cleats with an image of his Dad's face, "ILY" - I love you, and Family spelled between the two cleats.

O'Shea was 3 for 4 on field goals. The 9 points proved key as West Bloomfield beat Cass Tech 9-7.

Cass Tech 2019 RB Jaren Mangham had a touchdown in the final minute and Cass recovered the onside kick.

2020 S Makari Paige made his first career start last week and this week had the game-clinching interception in the final seconds.

The game figured to be full of momentum and that's exactly what happened as the athletes on both teams had key plays during the game, but just like that the opposing team stepped up and caused a turnover or forced the other team to turn the ball over on downs.
