Michigan has terrific depth in boys basketball this season, thanks in large part to a fantastic 2025 class.

Here is a list and analysis of players already committed to play at the next level:

Sharod Barnes, 6-2, OLSM - The Eaglets star flies a little under the radar on a roster filled with next-level stars, but Barnes might be the most improved player over the last couple years, turning offense into a strength and remaining an elite defender. Committed to Western Michigan (D1).

Markus Blackwell, 6-2, Warren Lincoln - Fresh off a state title, Blackwell’s recruitment picked back up and he found a home. Great volume shooter who can heat up in a hurry and hit shots from anywhere past the logo. Committed to Eastern Illinois (D1).

Leroy Blyden Jr., 6-1, U.D. Jesuit - Smooth, crafty guard who can score at all three levels and can rack up points in bunches. He’s also a great playmaker, using his high I.Q. and speed to set up scoring looks for teammates. Committed to Toledo (D1).

Carson Daly, 6-3, Grand Ledge - A great outside shooter who has grown a couple inches even since his sophomore year. He’s a part of a great starting lineup that is now fully healthy. He could be a breakout player on a breakout team. Committed to Northwood University (D2).

Stevie Elam, 6-2, Adrian - Big, powerful guard who looks like a Greek demigod out on the court, and usually plays like it, too. Too strong for most high school guards to stop from getting to the basket, but he’s also a great 3-point shooter. Committed to Wisconsin-Milwaukee (D1).

Camden Fall Thompson, 6-6, Whitehall - Tremendous athlete; he might be the state's best rebounder and dunker. Overall game has improved each year, so it will be interesting to see how dominant he might be as a senior. He's a great example of position-less basketball. Committed to Western Michigan (D1).

Alex Genuise, 6-2, Allendale - Allendale has a solid, if underrated roster. Genuise is a versatile guard who can put up points in bunches. He could lead his team to some upset victories this winter. Committed to Olivet College (NAIA).

Phoenix Glassnor, 6-0, Warren De La Salle - Three-sport star who chose to play basketball at the next level. Tremendous shooter and floor general. He makes the game look easy, and he has a next gear that can take over games. Committed to Toledo (D1).

Geon Hutchins, 6-4, Warren Lincoln - Marred by a poor supporting cast last season, Hutchins was asked to do too much while facing constant double teams. He will have the space this season to showcase his tremendous athleticism and mid-range shooting. Committed to Northern Iowa (D1).

Cameron Hutson, 6-5, East Lansing - One of the state’s best 3-point shooters, Hutson can also put on a show in transition. One of the most consistent high-level players who always seems to produce 20-point games. Committed to Saint Louis (D1).

Keashawn Johnson, 6-4, Muskegon - Johnson showcases tremendous athleticism and has developed as a shooter. He’s a versatile defender and can create his own shot. Committed to Ferris State (D2).

Camden Karel, 6-9, Byron Center - One of the most versatile players in the state. Highly-skilled, especially for his size. Has guard abilities, but can also dominate on the low block. Works extremely hard on his game, and it pays off. Committed to Bowling Green State (D1).

Jalen Kampen, 6-4, Parchment - Kampen is a two-sport star who chose basketball for college. Tremendous scorer, who can hit shots at every level and defend multiple positions. Quick and poised with athletic upside. Committed to Ferris State (D2).

Elija Langston, 6-8, Muskegon - One of the state’s best post defenders and shot blockers. Developing offensive game that could shine as a senior this fall with more opportunities. Committed to Ferris State (D2).

Parker LePla, 6-8, Goodrich - He has almost every tool a high school basketball player could ask for. Tall and plays to his height, but he can also dribble-drive and shoot outside. A rare high school big who might actually be better on offense. Committed to Indianapolis University (D2).

Lincoln Lockhart, 6-1, TC West - Very underrated Northern Michigan guard who can run the point or play off the ball. Smooth in transition and has surprising strength and quickness. Great shooter. Committed to Trine University (D3).

Tucker Loynes, 6-4, Ovid-Elsie - Loynes is a slightly undersized low-post threat who uses his frame to create space and back down opponents. Could help Ovid-Elsie have a successful postseason. Committed to Grace Christian (NAIA).

Braylon Mannon, 6-8, Belleville - Athletically-gifted lean post presence who plays well above the rim with some truly ferocious dunks. Defense is still ahead of his offense, but that’s pretty normal for high school post players. Committed to Wayne State (D2).

Macari Moore, 6-3, Ann Arbor Huron - Moore is an aggressive scorer with great overall size and skill. He’s a good shooter from mid-range and beyond. He’s like a freight train when driving to the basket. Committed to Iowa State (D1).

Troy Parker, 6-1, Troy - Parker is a good shooter, no doubt, but he’s also impressive when driving to the basket. He can finish with power or acrobatics, making him a unique threat on offense. Committed to Rochester University (D3).

Zachary Parks, 6-5, Lake Orion - Fast riser over the summer who showcased a blend of athleticism and finesse when necessary. He could become a household name if summer form holds throughout the season. He might have committed too early. Wouldn’t be surprised if some D2 calls came in. Committed to Trine University (D3).

Lance Stone, 5-7, Detroit Renaissance - Diminutive yet exciting guard who puts on a show every time he takes the court. Pretty much anywhere within 10 feet of the 3-point line is within his range. Easily the best and flashiest passer in the state. Committed to Detroit Mercy (D1).

Brady Swartz, 6-7, GR Northview - Electric wing who is equally likely to lay down a rim-shattering dunk as he is to knock down a 3-pointer. Unlimited upside with 30-point potential any given night. Committed to Western Michigan (D1).

Carson Vis, 6-3, South Christian - A freak wrist injury cost him a shot at the state title two seasons ago, but he’s now poised to lead his team back to the Breslin. Great at getting to the basket with a solid outside shot. Smooth athlete who is fearless when attacking the rim. Committed to Western Michigan (D1).

Sean Wesolek, 6-6, Bay City JG - Well-rounded offense game. He can bury defenders in the post, but he can also step out and make shots. Lacks exposure due to geological location, but he is well worth the trip to see him play. Committed to Hope College (D3).
