Joey Angok, 6-9, Forest Hills Northern

Angok should have multiple offers, yet his recruitment has been bafflingly quiet. He’s tall, rangy and can put the ball on the floor. He’s a great shot blocker and versatile on both ends of the court. Division 2 through NAIA coaches need to see this kid play.

Andrew Ashwood, 6-1, Romulus Summit

Hulking guard who is a physical player with a nice outside shot. He can guard multiple positions, and he can score quickly and often. Top offers: Oakland CC

Jase Becher, 6-8, Linden

One of the best defensive post players in the state. He’s worked on his foot speed, which should help him on offense. Probably underrecruited who could develop into a solid player at the next level. Top offers: Kalamazoo College, Albion, Penn St. - Hazleton

Moses Blackwell, 5-8, Warren Lincoln

Small lead guard with seemingly unlimited 3-point range. He really stepped up last season when a couple of injuries struck, and then again in the state finals. Top offers: Western Michigan (D1), Detroit Mercy (D1)

Jordan Bledsoe, 6-0, Mona Shores

Strong lead guard who is finally starting to get noticed for his consistent play. Never takes a game off, and always seems to make clutch shots. Top offers: Calvin, Heidelberg, Albion, Adrian

Da’Marion Bozeman, 6-5, Warren Lincoln

Bozeman is a freak athlete who might win some dunk contests down the road. Known as a 3-point shooter, but his athleticism has taken over. Solid all-around on both ends of the court. Top offers: Wayne State (D2)

Jayce Branson, 6-4, East Lansing

It wouldn’t be a stretch to say he's the most athletic player in the state. He’s good for two or three massive transition dunks every game. His overall offensive progression will dictate how many and at what level offers start coming in. Top offers: Olney Central

Braylan Brown, 6-5, Ann Arbor Skyline

Skyline were the summer darlings, and Brown emerged as an athletic forward who displays versatility on offense. He has elite defensive potential, and his best basketball is certainly ahead of him. Top offers: Adrian

Jake Champagne, 6-2, Oxford

Very impressive player, who might not have all the measurables D1 and D2 schools look for, but he certainly can ball. Big-time scorer who is still unselfish and efficient. Top offers: Olivet, Albion

Jordan Clayton, 6-3, AH Avondale

Exploded this summer by showcasing his athleticism and skill. He will likely be the lead scorer on a team that proved very tough to beat - even against some of the favorites. Top offers: Heidelberg

Jesse Cull, 6-5, Flint Powers

An under-recruited wing with a great 3-point shot and physicality to bang in the post. He’s one of two Cull twins. Jesse has D2 college upside, and a bigger offensive role could help coaches see that on a consistent basis.

Tyler Davis, 5-11, GR Christian

Great floor general who has the ball on a string. He’s aggressive getting to the basket. He also has a great mid-range jumper. Was often the best point guard on last year’s state runner-up season. Top offers: Calvin University

JJ Frakes, 6-4, Berrien Springs

Extremely athletic wing who dunks more than anyone I’ve ever seen in southwestern Michigan. If he’s not dunking, he’s hitting mid-range and 3-point shots. Incredible talent who is almost unguardable in the area he plays.

Joshua Gibson, 6-2, Birm. Groves

Gibson is a fierce competitor who wants to win against his opponent on every play. Tremendous shooter and silky athlete when driving through the lane. Top offers: Ferris State (D2), Lake Superior State (D2), Rockhurst (D2)

Shannon Henderson, 6-8, Stockbridge

Very impressive athletic profile, who can even start a fast break. He went coast-to-coast a couple times last season. If he can add some offensive consistency, D2 schools should be his floor.

Colin Heyboer, 6-6, Grandville

Exciting wing who is known for his 3-point shooting, but showcased some explosive athleticism over the summer. The next step will be consistently creating his own shot. Offers should flood in if that happens this season.

Zip Hines, 5-11, OLSM

His nickname says it all. Hines is lightning-quick with the ball in his hands. He’s a true point guard who can get to the basket, shoot or dish. I selfishly want him to end up an Akron Zip for obvious reasons. Top offers: Toledo (D1)

Terez Holmes, 6-7, Center Line

Tall and agile, Holmes flashes guard skills. His offensive game looked like it improved over the summer, and he’s always been a great shot blocker. Will have to take over games this year with a potentially young backcourt.

Tory James Jr., 6-1, Grosse Pointe South

He has the best 3-point shooting stroke in the state, and the results often mirror the setup. He’s also smooth getting to the basket. He could be in line for a major breakout season as the clear go-to guy on a sneaky good team. Top offers: CSU Bakersfield (D1)

Xavier Johnson, 6-4, UD Jesuit

He’s due for some offers after a great junior season. Athletic and long, Johnson oozes potential. Shooting and ball-handling could still improve. If they do, D2 is the floor for his recruiting.

Oskar Kangas, 6-6, Iron Mountain

Athletic forward with bouncy athleticism and a well-rounded and versatile game. One of the best players in the Upper Peninsula, who could help his team make a Breslin appearance this winter. Top offers: Wisconsin-Stout, UW-Superior, Wisconsin-Oshkosh

John Kaul, 6-2, Clarkston

Capable of playing anywhere along the backcourt, Kaul offers versatility and quality shooting. He’s a solid presence on both ends of the court and often makes key plays. Top offers: Albion, Olivet

Dominic Krzesowiak, 6-5, Ann Arbor Huron

Tremendous shooter from every level. Poised wing who can handle the ball and create his own shot. Built for the next level and could explode once there. Top offers: Detroit Mercy (D1), Alcorn State (D1), Wayne State (D2), Lake Superior State (D2)

Jacob MacPhee, 6-6, Marquette

Explosive athlete who can be difficult to evaluate because he plays in the northern part of the Upper Peninsula. But MacPhee can play, proven by his and his team’s spirited efforts this summer at Grand Valley. Top offer: Michigan Tech (D2)

Kason Mayes, 6-2, Old Redford

Easily a top-30 player in the state and one of the more physical guards in Michigan. He’s a great shooter and slasher, who will likely be a double-digit scorer at the next level. Top offers: New Mexico State (D1), Utah State (D1), Wisconsin-Milwaukee (D1)

Memphis McDowell, 5-10, River Rouge

McDowell is a tough, competitive point guard who isn’t afraid of anyone. He has the perfect mentality. He never takes a play off and he’s always trying to beat the player in front of him.

Kyle McGowan, 6-7, Cadillac

One of the best post players in the state, McGowan has recently expanded his game. He’s physically stronger than almost everyone he faces, and a mid-range game will help him at the next level. He’s getting college looks for both basketball and football.

Trey McKenney, 6-4, OLSM

A decision seems just on the horizon after he narrowed his list down to Michigan, USC and Georgetown. One of the best high school basketball players the state has had in the last two decades.

Cyrus Mpeba, 6-3, Warren Fitzgerald

Long, rangy point guard who knows how to assess a defense and find open teammates. He’s great on defense and has improved his outside shot. Top offers: Central State (D2)

Zander Nash, 6-6, Imlay City

A guard-forward who can score from all levels. He’s a great passer and floor general. He just lacks speed. Long and lanky on defense, where he can guard multiple positions. Top offers: Trine, Kalamazoo, Adrian, Albion, Hope

Gabriel Njenga, 6-7, Big Rapids

Underrated sleeper with great length and a quickly-expanding offensive game. Njenga could be a senior breakout player, who could lead Big Rapids on a long run. He’s fun to watch on both ends of the court. Top offers: Lake Superior State (D2), Aquinas, Alma

Leo Perettie, 5-11, Grosse Pointe North

Quick, fearless guard who makes up for a lack of size with toughness and consistency. He should get some looks this season as a clear go-to scorer.

Amir Perryman, 5-10, Romulus Summit

A quick, aggressive guard who plays bigger than his small and slender frame. Multi-faceted scorer who never backs down and can lead a break after forcing turnovers.

Lucas Pitsch, 6-7, Rockford

Another tall wing, who uses his length to shoot over smaller defenders. Still finding his best fit offensively, but has the upside to dominate at the next level if he figures it all out. Top offers: Denison, Calvin, Hope

Armoni Portis, 6-1, Warren DLS

Smooth operator who can play on or off the ball. Solid 3-point shooter who can also hit pull-up jumpers. Great ball-handler who weaves through defenders to get good looks at the rim. Top offers: Northwood (D2), Central State (D2), Hope

Javontae Ross, 5-11, Flint Powers

Ross is a throw-back player who makes tough shots around the rim and can get to the free-throw line. His outside shot is still a work-in-progress, but he has an exceptionally high basketball I.Q.

Noah Silkworth, 6-5, Ann Arbor Skyline

Burst onto the scene this summer with physical, hard-working mentality. He’s extremely athletic, often playing above the rim. He has just scratched the surface of his immense potential. Top offers: Albion

John Simpson, 6-5, Brim. Groves

A The D Zone favorite who is fully healthy entering his senior year. A wing with lead guard skills and a tremendous outside shot. He has the talent to take over games, and he just might more often than not this winter. Top offers: Central State (D2)

Robert Smith, 5-10, North Farmington

Powerful lead guard fresh off a state runner-up finish. He can be a bulk scorer or drive and dish. He will be the leader of a young, inexperienced team and could post some huge games. Top offers: Albion, Adrian

Dimaunye Smith-Powe, 6-0, UPrep

Elite point guard who could ultimately end up on a D1 roster when all is said and done. Great shooter with a solid frame to also get to the basket. Tremendous production and upside as a prospect. Top offers: Wayne State (D2), Central State (D2)

Torrion Stevenson, 6-2, Saginaw United

Impressive length for a true point guard, who can score or dish with regularity. The entire Saginaw United experience will be interesting, and Stevenson is the perfect fit to usher in a new era. Top Offers: Central State (D2), Olivet

Dekovan Thomas, 6-2, Macomb Dakota

Athletic combo guard who plays with physicality and specializes at getting to the basket. He’s going to be a force, either getting open looks, or getting to the free-throw line. A potential breakout player.

Darryl Thompkins Jr., 5-9, Muskegon

A true point guard who can break the press, set up teammates and hit mid-range jumpers. He can make a big impact even without taking a lot of shots. Top offers: Central State (D2), Lake Superior State (D2)

Tucker Walther, 6-4, Schoolcraft

Tremendous shooter who can create his own shot. He should be in for a big season after Shane Rykse graduated. Walther is lanky and smooth athletically and he is one of the top prospects in southwest Michigan. Top offers: Grace Christian, Adrian

Luke Westerdale, 6-0, Riverview Gabriel Richard

He will remind some of former Mr. Basketball Foster Loyer as an undersized guard with some serious game. Tremendous shooter who has the ball on a string. He could be a 20-10 guy in points and assists this season. Top offers: Ferris State (D2)

David Williams, 6-1, Brother Rice

Strong lead guard with a great 3-point shot. Good passer and hard to stop when driving to the basket. He will be asked to take on more of the scoring load, and looked ready to step up during the summer. Top offers: Albion
