At Frankenmuth (10-0)

Season Recap: Frankenmuth swept through the regular season but had tough challenges against Bay City Central, Millington, and Bridgeport and another last week with a narrow three point win over Almont. Nonetheless the Eagles remain the only undefeated team in Division 5. Marine City a year removed from breaking a 33 year streak of finishing above .500 and a 19 year playoff streak saw the Mariners win the MAC-Gold championship with their only two losses coming to non-conference opponents.
Common Opponents: None..
Series History: First Meeting.
Headlines: Although Frankenmuth remains the only undefeated team in Division 5 they’re largely overlooked by West Catholic who’s the defending champions. The Eagles are eager to prove the naysayers wrong. Marine City won the D4 State Championship in 2013 since then the playoffs haven’t gone well in D5 winning just two games including last week. Can Marine City get back to old Mariner football or does Frankenmuth get back to back District Championships for the first time since ‘87,’88.
