Glen Lake gets revenge against Manton
A year ago in the Regional Semi-Final in Houghton Lake Manton got the best of the Lakers from Glen Lake winning 49-36 en route to a trip to the Breslin Center.
On Wednesday night things were a little different. This year in front of a home crowd Glen Lake got their revenge with a 49-29 victory in front of a sold out gym.
In the first quarter Cade Peterson got the momentum going with two early threes to give Glen Lake a 19-6 advantage and never looked back.
Glen Lake continued to dominate in the 2nd quarter allowing the Rangers just four second quarter points to give the Lakers a 25-10 halftime lead where Manton Star Jayden Perry was held to just two points.
The second half was most the same as Glen Lake continued to play well defensively behind Peyton McDonnaugh and Cade Peterson while Xavier Okerlund was being face guarded by Perry full court.
Glen Lake was led by Peterson with 20 points and nine rebounds while McDonnaugh added 14 points. Manton was led by Perry with 12 points.
Glen Lake (19-2) advances to the District Final at Glen Lake on Friday where they will take on Traverse City St. Francis (16-5) which is on a 11 game win streak since losing last to Glen Lake by nine on January 20th
