The 2021 football season is slated to kickoff on August 26th at noon and the action will not stop until Saturday evening. Most of the top 25 teams face tough competition this week and some winning streaks may be snapped early this season.
Below are the prospects we're aware of entering the game. We look forward to discovering more talent.
Fordson:
2022 WR Antonio Gates Jr. (Michigan State commit) will be Fordson's big play threat and also has worked on CB a lot this off-season making him much more dangerous.
2022 OL/DT Ka'Marii Landers is a ferocious presence in the trenches and has strong Power 5 interest. 6'3 290 lbs and is looking to close out senior year and open some more eyes in the process.
2022 TE Mohammed Hazime is a towering prospect who should also see time on the DL. He holds six Division 1 offers now but is still really under the radar.
2022 QB Alex Osman showed bits and pieces of what he was able to do last year in a shortened season. Now that he's had a full off-season and such, we're expecting a nice year from the 6' 195 lbs QB.
2022 OC/DT Fayez Alziyadi has been an absolute monster in the weight room this off-season and generated some buzz. It'll be interesting to follow the 6'2 300 lbs lineman this year.
2022 S Hassan Jaghbir is a nice and instinctive prospect who has plus ball skills and had a off-season to get his name out there.
2022 DE/DT Hussein Bazzi is a physical presence off the edge and is receiving strong D-III interest.
2022 DE Hussein Barakat is an intriguing 6'4 215 lbs end and looking to make a name for himself this senior season.
Canton:
2024 S/WR Caleb Williams is the Chiefs explosive big-play threat and will be even more comfortable now that he's entering his 2nd year of playing varsity.
2022 LB Amare Reed had a big summer that resulted in being offered and committed to Eastern Michigan. Last season was Reed's first year of playing varsity football.
2022 RB Zack Badger returns for Canton as one of their key returning runningbacks.
2022 QB/CB Arturo Jose Trevino Narvaez is a nice athlete who will be a threat to run and pass the ball at 6'3 180.
2022 DT/OT Lucas Tafelski at 6'2 275 is going to be a strong presence for Canton this year and a big game vs Fordson's big lineman will go along way for him this year.
2022 DT Julian Lockett is a nice defensive lineman at 6'2 215 and has D-III interest now.
2022 OL/DT Jordan Vidojevski is a versatile and athletic 6'3 240 lbs lineman who will be a key piece for Canton this year.
2023 RB/DB Joe Najduk will be a young player to looking to make an impact and should develop into a solid player. 5'10 170.
2023 CB Josiah West is 5'9 155 but showed pieces that he can be a lockdown corner.
