East English wins thriller against King! (Recap)
The PSL may be the best conference in the state.
No games are given and every night you better expect a battle.
Detroit King handed East English Village one of their only two losses this season and EEVP came into Friday looking for revenge.
They got it. In dramatic fashion.
A defensive battle all game saw the teams separated by just a point going into the fourth where both teams were trading buckets.
Detroit King holding onto a one point lead thanks to Marcus Gibbs big play ability.
Then junior Tariq Shepherd took over for EEVP. With time ticking down he drove to the lane and was fouled resulting in two free throws. He calmly knocked both down giving King just six seconds to score and the final shot was off the mark as EEVP pulled it off on their home court. 48-47 final.
The crowd broke loose rushing the court in celebration.
David Dejulius led the offensive charge for EEVP with 23 and Marcus Gibbs had 21 for the King Crusaders.
EEVP (9-2) will host Detroit Osborn on Tuesday January 23rd. Detroit King (5-4) looks to bounce back from the heart breaker Tuesday against Edison.
