Dansville took on CMAC foe Fowler on March 1, 2018. These are not only two of the better teams in Class C and D, but also some of the better teams in the Lansing area regardless of school size.

Dansville came out and took the lead from the beginning and never lost it. Caleb Hodgson had 8 quick points, including a pair of impressive threes that got Dansville a 10-4 lead just 3 minutes into the quarter. Fowler responded from there and after 1, Dansville had a 16-13 lead.

The 2nd quarter was again highly competitive, but Fowler could not manage to take the lead. Dansville led 30-26 after 2. It looked like the game was going to stay a 1-2 possession game to the final whistle.

Devin Patrick had a huge 3rd quarter for the Aggies though, and he managed to give them a little extra breathing room against Fowler. Both Patrick and Carter Frantz had good 3rd quarters and they helped give Dansville a 54-41 lead going into the 4th.

Dansville managed to get up by as much as 17 points early in the 4th, but Fowler refused to go away. They cut the lead to single digits with a couple minutes left and made Dansville beat them at the free throw line late. Dansville's players did convert their free throws though, and they pulled out an impressive 78-68 victory that is a good tune up going into districts.

Unsigned 2018 guard Carter Frantz scored a tema high 21 points and 6 assists. He did much of his damage in the 2nd half and in the 4th quarter at the free throw line. 6'9 2019 Caleb Hodgson had an impressive game, posting a triple double. He had 18 points, 10 rebounds and 12 blocks with Western Michigan staff in attendance. Devin Patrick had 16 points and 6 assists as well, and Hayden Voss had an efficient 12 points off the bench for Dansville.

Ferris State signee Mason Pline had a monster game for Fowler in the loss. He posted 34 points, 18 rebounds and 8 blocks. Nick Thelen added 10 points as well for Fowler.
