Cranbrook gets solid road win against Cabrini 56-27.
The Bloomfield Hills Cranbrook Cranes won a road game against the Allen Park Cabrini Monarchs 56-27.
Junior John Kersh led the scoring for Cranbrook with 18 points. Junior Evan Evans added 10 points in the effort for the Cranes.
Junior Owen Tomsic led Cabrini with 9 points.
Cranbrook established an early lead with Kersh getting 3-point shots from the corner and the top of the key.
Evans and sophomore Cooper Gurman poured in points in the low post to establish a 28-19 lead at the half.
The Cranes pushed the issue in the third quarter with more baskets from beyond the arc. Senior Praneel Pillarisetty added a key lay up to help the team keep their pace.
The Monarchs pushed their effort in the final quarter, but the Cranes would sustain their momentum for the victory.
The Cranes travel to face Waterford Our Lady of the Lakes in a CHSL cross over matchup on Wednesday.
