Cranbrook defeats WOLL 57-47; earns spot in CHSL C-D final.
The Bloomfield Hills Cranbrook Cranes defeated the Waterford Our Lady of the Lakes Lakers (WOLL) 57-47 in the CHSL semi-final yesterday. The win moves Cranbrook to 15-1 on the season, and secures a spot for the Cranes in the CHSL C-D final.
Sophomore forward Jack Fairman led the scoring with 18 points. Junior guards Alex Finney and Clark Doman also scored in double figures for Cranbrook with 15 points and 13 points, respectively.
This was the third victory for the Cranbrook over WOLL this season.
“It’s hard to defeat a team three times in one year.” said Cranes Head Coach Shane Finney. “WOLL always presents a tough match up; they are always well-prepared. They play solid basketball.”
Noah Robak scored 14 points to lead the scoring for WOLL.
Cranbrook will play the winner of Wednesday’s semifinal between Madison Heights Bishop Foley and Riverview Gabriel Richard.
