Anchor Bay/Michigan State LB Taiwan Jones 1 of 40 to tryout for WWE (Story)

Anchor Bay class of 2011 LB and 2015 Michigan State alumni, Taiwan Jones was 1 of 40 athletes to tryout at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, FL this week in hopes of earning an opportunity for the professional wrestling company.

Jones was an outstanding ATH at Anchor Bay and was a player who was a big-time threat on both sides of the ball. Jones transitioned well in college at MSU as a versatile LB who finished his career as a 3-year starter and compiled 183 tackles.

In Jones two seasons in the NFL he logged 2 tackles.

Michigan has produced a few WWE/WWF wrestlers in the Attitude Era such as: Rob Van Dam (Battle Creek Pennfield), Rhyno (Annapolis) and Scott Steiner (Bay City Western).
